James Albert Meserow, MD, FACOG, FACS, FASAM, is a board-certified Gynecologist and Obstetrician with over 30 years of experience. He also holds board certification in maternal-fetal medicine and preventive medicine-addiction medicine. Dr. Meserow sees patients at The Howard Center, which has locations in Covington, Valdosta, Moultrie, Warner Robins, Leesburg, Douglas, Tifton, and Waycross, Georgia.
Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Meserow currently resides in Tifton, Georgia. He received his Bachelor in Biochemistry from Princeton University in 1973 and attended the Cornell University Sloan-Kettering Cancer Institute Graduate School of Medical Sciences in 1976. In 1978, Dr. Meserow received his MD from Rush University Medical College and went on to complete his Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency from Rush University Medical Center in 1983.
Following residency, Dr. Meserow pursued additional training. In 1984, he completed his fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, followed by his fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Illinois in 1987.
Dr. Meserow was awarded the Senior Obstetrician / Gynecology Resident Award at Rush University Medical College. He is also a national practice site reviewer for the ACOG SCOPE Program in Outpatient Office Safety.
Dr. Meserow has long-standing experience in caring for high-risk and critically ill obstetric and addiction medicine patients. He enjoys the ability to help patients with high-risk factors and see good outcomes for the mother and baby.
